Terms & Conditions — HQ214

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an Hq214 account or using the app, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, do not create an account or use the app. Your continued use of Hq214 after any changes to these Terms constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

2. Eligibility

Hq214 is intended for active members of Headquarters Battery, 2nd Battalion, 14th Marines. Account creation is subject to verification and approval by unit administrators. We reserve the right to approve, suspend, or remove accounts at our discretion.

3. Your Account

• You agree to provide accurate, current information when creating your account.
• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account.
• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
• You agree to notify us of any unauthorized use of your account.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use Hq214 for any unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent purpose.
• Harass, threaten, or impersonate another member.
• Share your account credentials or access with non-members.
• Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the app or its data.
• Use the app to distribute unsolicited messages or content.

5. SMS Program

By creating an account, you opt in to receive SMS notices at the phone number you provide, as described in our Privacy Policy. Message and data rates may apply. You may opt out by replying STOP to any message or by disabling notices in your account settings. Reply HELP for assistance. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

6. Member Content

You retain ownership of any information you submit (such as profile details, RIDT requests, or discussion posts). By submitting content to Hq214, you grant Flat Black Society a non-exclusive license to display and use that content solely to operate the app and its unit-facing features. You are responsible for ensuring your content is accurate and does not violate these Terms.

7. Intellectual Property

The Hq214 app, its design, branding, and unit-specific content are owned by Flat Black Society and its licensors. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the app without permission, except for personal, non-commercial use as a member.

8. Disclaimers

Hq214 is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that notices will be delivered on time. You use the app at your own risk.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Flat Black Society shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, Hq214, including any missed notices, schedule changes, or loss of data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the extent permitted by applicable law.

10. Termination

You may request deletion of your account at any time by contacting us below. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, leave the unit, or for any reason we determine in good faith. Upon termination, your right to use Hq214 ends immediately.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll revise the effective date above and, for material changes, notify active members through the app or by email before the change takes effect.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts located in Tarrant County, Texas, to the extent permitted by law.
